Hachiware

Story guide

In a market-like place, Hachiware meets someone whose head could also look like food and asks about a displayed marker or the place itself. The figure and items around them are unfamiliar, but Hachiware tries to understand where they have come before becoming afraid. The post does not explain who the other person is or whether what they say is correct. Hachiware is not holding the camera, so this is not a scene of testing a tool’s power but a conversation seeking directions in an unknown place. The shop- or stall-like background indicates an environment different from the usual cave. It goes only as far as Hachiware reacting to a strange encounter, without deciding a destination or later move.

HachiwareYoroi-san (Armor Knight)

Story guide

Hachiware notices a marker on merchandise and something like grass, realizing that a possibly dangerous item may be mixed in. When they tell the other person, the response relates to work and rewards, and Hachiware takes in that what they found seems to have been useful. This is not a post that explains the plant’s name or effect in detail; it centers on not overlooking an unfamiliar marker and speaking up. Hachiware does not make up a story for personal gain, but checks the apparently dangerous thing before reporting it. It does not show how much the reward increases or what they later use it for. The scene is a short work moment in which Hachiware observes and acts even in an unfamiliar place.

Hachiware

Story guide

Hachiware gets a new camera and tries it around home and outside, becoming absorbed in taking pictures of what they see. When they try to photograph the view outside a window or something like a small yellow being, it seems not to capture the image as expected, and Hachiware repeatedly checks the camera in their hands. A box and something like film are visible, but this post alone cannot tell whether the issue is a malfunction or the way it is being used. Hachiware does not immediately give up on the newly bought tool, continuing to take pictures in expectation of what will remain. Without yet presenting a major success or a good photograph, this opening of the Camera Arc sets the joy of getting a camera beside its first uncertainty.

Hachiware

Story guide

While using the camera, Hachiware sees something like a yellow hand touch near the lens and is startled. Film and small items are also at hand, and Hachiware wonders whether something has appeared in the camera or an unseen other is nearby. Finding no one in front of them, Hachiware looks at the camera again and hesitates over whether to believe what was captured. Rather than immediately turning the fear into a major event, the post leaves the unease that the camera may have caught something different from reality. It does not explain the other’s identity or the cause, ending as Hachiware faces the strange occurrence in their hands alone.

HachiwareChiikawa

Story guide

Hachiware tries to photograph Chiikawa with the camera, hoping to cherish the first picture. Chiikawa appears near flowers, but the photograph seems to show a different face or strange shape from what is on screen, and the two fall silent before the result. Rather than leave the failure as it is, Hachiware tries again, though uncertainty about what will appear remains. Chiikawa also cannot understand why the person in the photo does not seem like them. The post does not explain the camera’s mechanism or the identity of the problem, and a picture meant to preserve a memory instead confuses the pair. In the Camera Arc, photographing a friend becomes difficult for the first time.

ChiikawaHachiware

Story guide

Hachiware invites Chiikawa to do a test shot today as well, and while checking the camera's operations beside some flowers, presses the button. The moment the shutter fires, Hachiware cries out and drops the camera, stammering that someone disappeared. However, Chiikawa is still standing right there, and Hachiware confirms that Chiikawa has not disappeared, while Chiikawa lets out a sound, not understanding what it is about. Hachiware hugs the dropped camera and, as if persuaded, murmurs that that is right, since this is a real camera after all, and says thank you. Chiikawa lets out an "Ehh" and chuckles, ending there.

RakkoChiikawaHachiwareUsagi

Story guide

Hachiware photographs Chiikawa, producing one picture of Chiikawa waving against the sky and another of Chiikawa standing beside a stump, with Usagi's ears peeking out from behind it. Usagi then strikes a handstand pose and shouts energetically in response to Hachiware's cue that the picture is being taken. Hachiware laughs at the funny pose, and Chiikawa and Usagi join in the excitement. After a while, Hachiware remarks that the camera feels a little heavy after carrying it for so long and sets it down at their feet for a break. Rain suddenly begins to fall, prompting a short cry from Usagi as Hachiware hurriedly picks the camera back up.

ChiikawaHachiwareUsagi

Story guide

In the rain, Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi shelter beneath a large leaf, and Hachiware holds the camera close to keep it dry. Chiikawa is surprised by the rain and the leaf’s size, while Usagi seems to enjoy the situation nearby. Hachiware wants to keep taking pictures even when they go out, but worries that the tool may be vulnerable to water. Rather than looking for a way to stop the rain, the three huddle together and use the leaf as a roof. The post does not show what pictures remain or when the rain stops. It is a short outing in which Hachiware’s feeling about the camera overlaps with ordinary weather.

ChiikawaHachiwareUsagi

Story guide

Hachiware shows Chiikawa and Usagi what seem to be developed photographs, but the three figures in them are blurred or overlapped by other things. Hachiware checks whether even one picture came out well and hopes the three will help once more. Chiikawa and Usagi look at the photos together, staying with Hachiware for the next attempt rather than blaming the failures. Why the camera is unstable remains unresolved, and the strange photographs are not fixed here. Even so, Hachiware does not give up on photographing their friends, and the three prepare to stand before the camera again. The post closes on the desire to retake the pictures without anticipating a successful keepsake photo.
