Story guide

Chiikawa rides a rental bicycle uphill, but the vehicle wobbles and eventually crashes into a tree trunk. After the impact, the basket and front wheel remain in place as Chiikawa sits back up and catches their breath. By evening, a nearby figure points to the damaged vehicle and says that compensation is required. Chiikawa silently looks toward the sunset as what was meant to be a fun ride becomes the weighty problem of dealing with a broken bicycle.

Seeing a rental bicycle shaped like Chiikawa's, Hachiware says that they now want one badly. Chiikawa remains beside the vehicle with injuries, and Hachiware checks whether they are all right or hurt anywhere. Usagi arrives on a bicycle, and the three gather where they were before setting off. Hachiware shifts their focus and begins considering a way for them to move forward together without leaving Chiikawa behind.
