Story guide

In a dark, cave-like place, Chiikawa faces two black, horned opponents with a sasumata in hand. Keeping their distance, Chiikawa holds the tool out toward them, and a bag-like reward appears after the confrontation. This single image does not need to settle whether it is a real Subjugation or an event in a dream that will continue. What is clear is the simple adventure shape of small Chiikawa facing dangerous opponents with a weapon and receiving a reward, made more vivid by the dark background and black silhouettes.

Chiikawa reads a book that promises strength and imagines their body changing in accordance with the image it shows. With flower-like decorations and wings, Chiikawa attacks the black opponents from a height different from the ground. As Hachiware lets out a troubled voice, a large spider descends along the thread, and Chiikawa and Usagi, who are outside the web, look up at it. Hachiware says it is scary even in a dream, but they get bitten by the spider and complain of pain, suggesting that this might not be a dream. Just as Chiikawa frantically rushes over, Usagi charges in with a shout and takes the spider down in a single blow. Chiikawa and Hachiware are surprised by the strength, and with a shout to run away, the three fly off from the scene.

As the winged group moves through the sky, a black bird approaches, and Hachiware and Usagi try to change direction. On the ground, a Yoroi-san (Armor Knight) picks up a small wooden object that has fallen and studies its instrument-like shape. Hachiware and Usagi try to move away from the bird, while the Yoroi-san wonders what the object is. The strange winged forms and the everyday act of picking something up make the dream events seem to cast a shadow elsewhere.

The trio does not join in; their dream flight proceeds alongside the unusual performance below. Without deciding whether the objects are instruments or something else, the serious motions of the Yoroi-san look strange to the three who have come from the sky.

Beyond the Yoroi-san (Armor Knight)s who are marching while chanting about lactic acid bacteria, Hachiware calls out that they found it and points to a doll made of assembled wood pieces placed on a tree stump. Words suggesting it might belong to Muchauman also slip out. The three decide to destroy it and jump out, but the Yoroi-san (Armor Knight)s start dancing with clapping, and Chiikawa and Hachiware instinctively cheer them on. Blocked by the swinging arms, Hachiware complains that they cannot move forward. In the meantime, Usagi jumps up holding the doll and carries it while stumbling; seeing this, the two are amazed, saying it is incredible.

Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi consider how to lower a wooden object from the sky and test handing it along between them. Winged small beings and figures unlike those on the ground appear nearby, and hands pass the object from one to another.
