What is the Camera Arc? Synopsis and Best Scenes Summary | When & Which Manga Volume [Chiikawa]

Through a mysterious encounter at a market-like place and a realization at a stall, Hachiware obtains a new camera. They immediately start test shooting inside and outside the house, becoming obsessed with taking pictures of what they see one by one. However, mysterious events surrounding the camera continue, such as a feeling that it isn't capturing things as intended, or being surprised to see something like a yellow hand touching near the lens.

They try to take a picture of Chiikawa as a memory, but it looks as if a face different from the screen or a mysterious shape appeared in the photo, and the two fall silent in front of the result. On another day, the moment the shutter is pressed, Hachiware stammers "It disappeared," but confirms that Chiikawa is there. Even though the photo that was supposed to preserve a memory didn't turn out as expected, Hachiware tries to take another one.

With Usagi joining them, Hachiware takes pictures of Chiikawa waving with their back to the sky, and Usagi doing a handstand. As the three continue taking photos, Hachiware feels the camera they were carrying is a bit heavy and places it at their feet. Then it suddenly starts raining, Hachiware hurriedly picks up the camera, and the three take shelter under a large leaf.
