When Hachiware sees a white mushroom-like growth extending from Chiikawa's head, they realize it may be a parasite. Chiikawa is unsettled, but Hachiware decides to remove it and says they have had a similar experience. After checking the base, Hachiware finds that the root may come out too and reaches toward it carefully so as not to cut the skin. They also mention that a parasite they had before was delicious when stir-fried, so the treatment and food discussion proceed together. Chiikawa remains surprised by the suggestion as the post ends just before the cut.

The mushroom growing from Chiikawa's head lengthens dramatically and lifts Chiikawa's body while Hachiware is still considering how to treat it. Hachiware is surprised by this movement and tries to check the position Chiikawa indicates. When a part that appears to be the base falls away, Hachiware takes this as a sign that the root came out too, but the remaining mushroom starts moving on its own. Chiikawa is tossed about by the part extending above them, while Hachiware compares a small fragment in their hand with the moving mushroom. The attempted removal of the parasite turns into an unexpected action by the mushroom itself, and the scene stops there.

Looking at a separated piece of the mushroom, Hachiware says that not even half of it has been used and makes a stir-fry with Chiikawa. The plate holds slices of the white mushroom and vegetables, and the two eat small portions with chopsticks. Chiikawa hesitates over whether it is all right to eat, but Hachiware tastes it, says it is delicious, and continues cooking with the mushroom. Once Chiikawa starts eating, their expression brightens, and both seem to like the dish. Hachiware remarks that being parasitized is not always bad, and Chiikawa reacts to that wording. The response to the abnormal growth ends in a meal.
