Hachiware brings up a discussion about lunch, and what Usagi points out in front of the shop is curry. When Chiikawa joins them and they look at the menu inside the shop, they find a black item with a demon mark in flames, separate from the normal items. Unable to guess the meaning of the name, the three interpret the mark as resembling a demon and begin to consider ordering it.

The steaming curry is brought out, and Usagi starts eating without hesitation. Chiikawa and Hachiware follow suit, but as they continue eating, their faces and bodies turn red, and they realize it is extremely spicy. Even so, Chiikawa acknowledges its deliciousness, Usagi continues the meal, and Hachiware complains that their mouth feels unsettled from the spiciness.

Hachiware thinks that the spiciness might be cured if they drink water many times, but they feel the stimulation getting stronger the more they drink. Chiikawa also drinks water while sweating, and Usagi continues the meal. They reach out for the remaining curry, and the back-and-forth among the three trying to leave nothing on their plates continues.
