14 arcs remain uncollected (as of September 2026)

The Chiikawa tankobon volumes go up tovolume 8(released in November 2025), and most of the long-form stories serialized on X since February 2024 have not yet been collected in any volume. As of September 2026, the uncollected arcs are: Parallel World Arc, Dashi Event Arc, Pajama Parties Bone Arc, Treasure Hunt Arc, Kurimanju God Arc, Angel and Jizo Arc, Weeding Certification: Sunfish Arc, Rental Bicycle Arc, Ghost Photo Arc, Pond Octopus Arc, Training Arc, Road Trip Arc, Momonga Arc, and Rice Bowl Arc—14 in total.

Of these, the Parallel World Arc was announced in the preview at the end of volume 8 as scheduled for inclusion in volume 9, due out in 2026. The other 13 arcs have no collection announcement so far, and the only way to read them is to trace the original X posts. On this site you can read all 14 arcs in order of publication, so jump to whichever arc interests you from the quick-reference table below.

Note that "uncollected" is not a matter of popularity or importance—it simply means book publication has not yet caught up. Serialization is still ongoing, and the newest long-form story is the Rice Bowl Arc from August 2026. Even those who have finished every volume have 14 arcs' worth of stories waiting that can only be read on X.

Parallel World Arc (February–March 2024, 27 episodes) — scheduled for volume 9

This long-form story opens with Hachiware finding himself in a world where the shapes of weapons and the appearances of the local residents are all slightly different. He has somehow become a Level 5 Weeding certification holder—the mobile-device ID he never actually obtained—and a tree with a face tells him, "To return to your original world, you must crush this world's insects." The arc centers on Hachiware's inner conflict as he acknowledges how comfortable this other world is while firming his resolve to go home. It is a rare long-form story for the series in that it deals with the very mechanics of the world itself. The preview at the end of volume 8 announced its inclusion in volume 9, making this the only one of the arcs with a concrete prospect of being readable in book form.

Dashi Event Arc (April–May 2024, 34 episodes)

Chiikawa and Hachiware receive a wrapper saying they've "won dashi" and head to a venue aiming for the luxurious prizes. But after checking in, they discover it's not a dashi event at all—it's a contest for "entertainment acts" featuring impressions and magic tricks. Thrown on stage as act number 15 with no preparation whatsoever, the three are saved by an improvised dashi demonstration that begins with the cassette stove and pot Usagi brought along. A classic case of crossed wires born from a misheard word, played as comedy.

Pajama Parties Bone Arc (May–June 2024, 10 episodes)

A short arc starring Pajama Parties Green. While the others move along singing, Green stops alone in the shade of a tree, where white things vanish into the air and a large bone appears on the ground. Just as the four line up on stage again, a blue creature showing its tongue and opening its mouth wide makes its appearance, and the arc ends there. Nothing is explained about what it is, leaving an unsettling aftertaste. It rewards a reread once you know the backstory of how the Pajama Parties formed.

Treasure Hunt Arc (June–August 2024, 43 episodes)

Guided by a signboard found in a grassy field, Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi pay an admission fee and take on a treasure hunt. Past food-based obstacles like a giant bouncing takoyaki and fried crab claws raining down, what awaits them is a locked treasure chest labeled "Only the winner may open it." Meanwhile, a large black creature appears before Momonga and Furuhonya, declaring "You are the real treasure" and trying to stuff them into a treasure chest. A long summer arc in which the two groups' searches unfold in contrasting directions.

Kurimanju God Arc (September–October 2024, 34 episodes)

After being bitten by a swarm of mosquitoes, Kurimanju's body swells round and large, and ends up being enshrined as a "god" on a festival altar. Every time the rope-bound Kurimanju moves, the crowd takes it as a sign of blessing and rejoices, while Kurimanju's own cries for help never get through at all. The widening gap between Hachiware and Shisa, who want to rescue their friend, and the people who worship him makes this a long autumn arc where laughter and a creeping chill coexist.

Angel and Jizo Arc (March–May 2025, 34 episodes)

In a grassy field shrine stands a small statue with a halo above its head: the "Angel Jizo." When Usagi leaps under that halo, chaos ensues—the ring moves to hover around Usagi's head, Usagi's body swells round and large, and the ring then disappears. The highlights are the contrast between Hachiware's earnestness, filling a box full of donuts in search of a "replacement for the halo," and Usagi's unflappable boldness no matter what happens. Frequently searched as "Chiikawa jizo," this is a signature arc from the first half of 2025.

Weeding Certification: Sunfish Arc (June–October 2025, 61 episodes)

Chiikawa retakes the Level 5 Weeding certification exam in this arc, whose 61 episodes make it the longest of the uncollected arcs. Chiikawa working through the answer sheet at an exam hall lined with number tags, Hachiware encouraging him with "I think you'll be fine this time," and the sleepless night before results are announced—the tension and hope surrounding the exam are drawn in careful detail. The scene of searching the results board for exam number 93 deserves a slow, close look, down to the expressions of Chiikawa squeezing his eyes shut and Hachiware staying right beside him.

Rental Bicycle Arc (October–November 2025, 18 episodes)

This arc begins when Chiikawa, riding a rental bicycle down a slope, falls and scratches the frame, raising the question of compensation. When Hachiware consults the rental counter so Chiikawa won't be left behind, the proposal that comes back is a "long tandem" frame with seats attached front and back. Puzzling over the mystery that he fell alone but the two of them don't fall together, the three make their way up the slope on a fine day. A small autumn arc in which trouble turns into a gentle shared ride.

Ghost Photo Arc (January–February 2026, 10 episodes)

A dark shadow caught in a photograph keeps Chiikawa and Hachiware awake at night. At Usagi's suggestion they try a timer shot, and they are relieved once to conclude "the shadow was Usagi's peace sign"—but when they recreate the pose, they notice the hands are mirrored left-to-right from the photo, and the mystery returns. Elsewhere, an inexplicable figure from behind also shows up on Ano-ko's camera, and the truth is never revealed. The first uncollected arc of 2026, a short story balancing horror and humor to perfection.

Pond Octopus Arc (March–April 2026, 4 episodes)

This short piece begins beside a pond, where a red octopus latches onto Chiikawa's cheek. Hachiware, calming things down by saying it will tear off if pulled forcibly, demonstrates the procedure of slipping a finger into the gap at the octopus's mouth and gently peeling it away, and Chiikawa growls in a low voice, "I'll turn you into takoyaki," startling Hachiware. Eventually small creatures resembling the red octopus start moving around in a line, and Pajama Parties Pink is mistaken for one of them because of her appearance—the commotion spreads in unexpected directions. Though a small 4-episode piece, it opens the curtain on the 2026 uncollected arcs.

Training Arc (April–May 2026, 9 episodes)

Chiikawa and Hachiware are each handed a tool with a grabbing claw on the end of a long handle, and apply themselves to grass-field work and weapon-swinging training. Rakko plays the teacher, and just as Chiikawa asks how long they'll keep practicing, Chiikawa grabs a leaf with the tool and pulls, revealing a round, furry figure from behind the grass. Usagi shows up shouldering a giant stick of candy, and in one scene Rakko catches the swung tip in his mouth and keeps gnawing on it. After training, the three head to the supermarket, where they lose sight of each other in the candy-aisle maze and search for one another.

Road Trip Arc (July 2026, 5 episodes)

A short piece—also known as the Rakkyo Arc—in which Usagi goes out for a drive with Rakko at the wheel. Rakko shows off one look after another in the driver's seat—flower decorations, a hat, a hood-like getup—and Usagi imitates each with his head twisted into the matching shape. At a rest stop they visit, Usagi licks up pickles, and Rakko adds that the rakkyo pickles are exquisite too, but on the way out Usagi walks straight past the pickle section, surprising Rakko. On the drive home, Rakko complains of drowsiness, raises his voice at Shigekix Super Lemon, and belts out a gapao rice song at full volume to stay awake.

Momonga Arc (July–August 2026, 8 episodes)

The arc begins with Momonga's unfulfilling days, answering "Not today" to Hachiware's invitation to go gathering. Asked over dinner with Kurimanju, "Aren't you going? Subjugation!" he snaps back instantly, "Obviously not!" The turning point is a melon pan. When it rolls out from a head-on bump into Yoroi-san (Armor Knight), Momonga balances it on his head and is instantly delighted; in front of the weapon shop he escalates his demands—"Praise me" "More applause!"—and, showered in whistles and cheering, murmurs, "This is... the moon." But the crowd is whispering "Subjugation, my foot," and the arc closes with euphoria and unease left sitting side by side.

Rice Bowl Arc (August 2026, 6 episodes)

The newest long-form story as of September 2026 begins when Hachiware, singing a new song on guitar, gets carried away and sends a rice bowl flying, breaking it. Chiikawa goes with him to the tableware shop at the market, and at Yoroi-san (Armor Knight)'s store he settles on the spot on a bowl—"This one might be good." But on the way home, flipping it over reveals a pattern like a face. Heart pounding, they return to the store, where Yoroi-san hadn't noticed either and apologizes profusely, "Sorry for not explaining properly." Chiikawa, flushed bright red, answers "Please, take care of it," and the bowl is wrapped anew, while Hachiware, delighted that the just-bought bowl already has a memory attached, names it the "Memory Bowl."

How to read the uncollected episodes, and future collection predictions

As for collection prospects, the Parallel World Arc (volume 9) is the only one with an official announcement. The tankobon volumes have collected stories in serialization order so far, so the natural next step would be the 2024 arcs—the Dashi Event Arc or the Treasure Hunt Arc—but this is not confirmed information.
